TF-USB-B is needed for testing devices, hosts and hubs high-speed, full or small. These tasks are located on a separate plate for easy connection.

QPHY-USB

QPHY-USB is an automated test package that performs all the required tests from the USB-IF for physical layer compliance of USB2.0 host, hubs and devices. The package contains software that runs within the LeCroy WavePro 7000A Series, Wavemaster, SDA, WaveRunner 6000A or WaveRunner Xi series of X-Stream digitizing oscilloscopes, and an optional pair of test fixtures for coupling into the electrical USB signals.

The QPHY-USB option gives the user the ability to both automate compliance testing and debug devices, hosts and hubs. Users maybe specifically interested i the following capabilities:

Users interested in compliance testing should begin by using QualiPHY.
Users interested in debugging circuits, should begin by using the oscilloscope's embedded test tools.
Users that begin by using QualiPHY may detect failures on their device, and then have the option of switching to the oscilloscopes embedded test tools.

The USB package provides a complete acquisition and analysis system for USB 2.0 devices, hosts, and hubs, as specified in the USB-IF USB 2.0 Electrical Test Specification. The test software implements a full set of electrical tests for USB 2.0, including High-, Full-, and Low-speed tests and is supported by Teledyne LeCroy's QualiPHY automated test and reporting software.

QualiPHY's connection diagrams provide a visual representation of probe and cable connections making it easy to ensure that the correct connections are made the first time.

The user is prompted when to change the test conditions and as how to interpret the test results. Each measurement is indicated by its designation within the specification, and the allowed values for each parameter are shown, as well as a pass/fail indication.

Teledyne LeCroy's TF-USB-B fixture provides sections for Signal Quality (Device & Host), Receiver Sensitivity, TDR (Device & Host), Disconnect, Inrush, Droop and 12 Loads to accommodate new higher port hubs. High-speed, Full-speed, and Low-speed tests are all supported.

QPHY-USB is supported by 2 GHz or higher bandwidth oscilloscopes: WaveRunner, WavePro, WaveMaster, SDA, or DDA.
