Descriptions

The LYNX Technik yellobrik OCM 1891 and OCM 1892 are compact, passive CWDM (Coarse Wavelength Division Multiplexing) optical multiplexer/demultiplexer modules. They allow broadcast and ProAV professionals to combine and transmit multiple independent signals over a single fiber-optic cable, eliminating the need to run separate fibers for each feed

Both modules can operate either standalone or be combined to create a high-capacity fiber network:
  • OCM 1891: Combines/separates up to 9 distinct channels over wavelengths ranging from 1270 nm to 1430 nm.
  • OCM 1892: Works similarly, but manages 9 distinct channels in the higher 1450 nm to 1610 nm range.
Key Capabilities
  • 18-Channel Expansion: Both devices feature an integrated UPG (Upgrade) port, which allows you to seamlessly daisy-chain the OCM 1891 and OCM 1892 together. This creates a robust 18-channel solution utilizing a single strand of single-mode fiber.
  • Passive Operation: Because they operate passively, these Canford Audio modules require no external power source, making them highly reliable and suitable for remote field applications.
  • Plug-and-Play: They feature standard LC/PC optical connections and are compliant with the ITU-T G.694.2 wavelength standard
