The DLS 8130 VDSL2 Wireline Simulator reproduces the AC and DC characteristics of twisted pair copper telephony cable using passive circuitry (R, L & C), which means that attenuation, complex impedance and velocity (propagation delay) of the wireline are accurately simulated. External noise impairments can be added to the DLS 8130. Contact Spirent for information about suitable noise impairment equipment for your testing needs.
The DLS 8130 VDSL2 Wireline Simulator consists of two chassis: the DLS 8132 and DLS 8131\. For rate-adaptive chipsets, the DLS 8130 can optionally connect to an external reach extension unit (for example, the DLS 410A or DLS 414A) for full automode or rate-adaptive testing at reaches up to 23,500 feet (23.5 kft.).
